Rainfall Figures
Rainfall measurements for April show that on the Rangitaiki Plains 6.59 inches were recorded. The total for the first four months of 1947 to date is 17.19 inches. The figure-for April 1946 was 9.21 inches and that for the first four months 16.69. The average April rainfall over the last 12 years was 5.76. Whakatane experienced 4.25 inches in April.
