WAIMANA NEWS
SUCCESSFUL TENNIS DANCE A lnost enjoyable and successful tennis dance was held last Thursday evening in the Waimana Hall. The function was well attended by local dancers and several visitors from nearby towns were present. The dance music was supplied .by Rodie and his Boys. Mr N. Eagle capably carried out the duties of M.C. and Mr S. Eagle was doorkeeper. The novelty dances were as popular as ever. Two Monte Carlo dances were won by Mr K. Addison and partner and Mr H. Bell and partner. \
Chocolates for competition were won by Mr J. McLean.
A dainty supper of sandwiches, hot savories and cakes was served by members of the Tennis Club and other willing helpers. The National Anthem closed the function at midnight.
