KUTARERE WHARF
WHAKATANE COUNTY’S SHARE MAY BE CLOSED Attaching a statement of receipts and payments in connection with the Kutarere wharf the Opotiki Courity Council advised the Whakatane County Council at its last meeting that its liability in this respect was £154 5s 4d. It had been decided further that the contribution for the use of the wharf by the Northern Steamship Company be £IOO per annum and failing the company’s acceptance the wharf would be closed. The Whakatane Council decided to reply requesting the Opotiki Council to submit in future details of all repairs to the wharf for approval before they were carried out.
