A POPULAR CAUSE
PUBLIC support for the recent St. John Ambulance Field Day enabled the secretary to report that a further sum of £i6o had been added to that very worthy organisation’s appeal. Without exception the sports bodies of town and district rallied to assist in the combined day. Not without reason was this enthusiasm displayed, for the friendly figures of the local ‘Zambucks’ have never been absent from the sporting fields throughout the years. Players and the general public too realise only too well the deep debt of appreciation which is always owed to these cheerful voluntary workers.
