Transport
The lack of railway transport was emphasised this holiday period when the workers of Kaitawa chartered a special Road Services ’bus to transport them all the way to Auckland. The special ’bus was due to leave Kaitawa at midnight-on the Wednesday en route to Auckland. In pi’evious years the chartered ’bus conveyed the workers to Rotorua only in time for them to connect with rail transport.
