RUGBY LEAGUE

SUCCESSFUL TANEATUA MEETING GREAT INTEREST SHOWN Judging by the enthusiasm which was in evidence at a meeting of the Bay of Plenty Rugby League held at Taneatua recently prospects for the game in the district are very bright. District wide interest was shown at the meeting and Mr H. C. McCready presided over a good attendance. The success of the meeting was extremely gratifying to those in charge as the game has been in recess during the war years. Such a large amount of enthusiasm bids "well for the future of the game. It was decided to hold the annual general meeting on April 12 when it is hoped to have an even more successful gathering. Details are advertised and all interested in the game should make a point of attending.
