WHAKATANE BOROUGH RESTRICTIONS SHUTDOWN AT 10.30 P.M. Notice has been given that in view of the serious electricity position and the fact the previous reductions only amounted to 8 per cent, instead of the compulsory 20 . per cent, the following reductions came into force as from 1 p.m. yesterday, April 1, 1947, namely:— Electricity will be cut off during the following hours, daily:— Weekdays 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. 10.30 p.m. to 3 a.m. Saturdays 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. 10.30 p.m. to 3 a.m. Sundays 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. 1.15 p.m. to 4 p.m. 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. 10.30 p.m. to 3 a.m. Special Easter Holidays Hours Thursday Before Easter 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. 10.30 p.m. to 3 a.m. Good Friday 9.15 a.m. to 10.15 a.m. 1.30 p.m. to 3.30 p.m., 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. 10.30 p.m. to midnight Easter Saturday 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. 1.30 p.m. to 3.30 p.m. 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. 10.30 p.m. to 3 a.m. Easter Sunday Same as on ordinary Sunday Easter Monday 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. 1.30 p.m. to 3.30 p.m. 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. 10.30 p.m. to 3 a.m. SPECIAL NOTE. On Friday evenings the 7-8 p.m. shutdown on the normal week will not apply.
