Mrs Leithwick, of Taumarunui, . is staying with .her mother, Mrs J. L. Burnett, Nukuhou North.
S'An interested-visitor who arrived in Whakatane last .Monday evening was Mrs M. ’McMillan and her six-teen-year-old son. Mrs. McMillan who is the sister of Mrs. J. Patterson of Nelson Street, come direct from Belfast, Northern Ireland, and travelled by the Rangitata and intends making Whakatane her future ... home. Her first impressions are the apparent abundance of food in / the Dominion, fruit in particular. She cites London prices for grapes before she left at 30/- per lb., and a pineapple at £2 10/-. We welcome her to Whakatane and trust that her stay 'will be long and pleasant.
