Liquor Back
For the first time in 38 years a bar for the sale of liquor was conducted on a recent Saturday in the former Masterton no-licence area, where restoration was carried at the last licensing poll. The Wairarapa Licensing ' Committee on Friday issued a conditional licence for a booth at the Masterton Racing Club’s meeting on the following day. Racing club officers report that there was much appreciative comment on the provision of the and the conduct of it. Hotel licences will not be granted in the area for some time yet.
