THE public would welcome further information on the question of aviation, which must be kept a live issue in this district if we are to hold our own in the era of air-transport which we are now entering. The Whakatane Club, which was re-constituted last year has certainly been active in its efforts to establish permanent landing ground for town and district. From the inaugural meetings, members declared that they hoped to see pupil-pilot training taking place in Whakatane before the end of the year. What has happened ? '
