OPEN SHOOT

ROD AND GUN CLUB’S DAY FORTHCOMING' EVENT One of the biggest events to be staged by the Whakatane Rod and Gun Club will be the Open Shoot to be held on the club’s grounds, on Sunday, March 2nd. Stakes will reach the figure of £SO and the event of the day will be the shoot for the Bay of Plenty Challenge Cup, held at present by Rotorua, and being competed for in Whakatane by courtesy of the holders. The programme will also include two £25 open events of fifteen birds and an eye-opener event. The club is justly proud of its grounds which are attracting the attention of sportsmen from all over the province.
