Mr and Mrs C. W. Blackbourn, with Miss Shirley Blackboui'n and Miss Joan Dryden, of Palmerston. North, have been the guests of Mr and Mrs C. Kingsley-Smith of Douglas Street for the past week. They left yesterday for Rotorua and Auckland.

At the public meeting convened by the Ohope Progress League for the purpose of re-establishing the Whakatane Surf and Life Saving Club last Saturday, a motion of condolence was carried in the usual manner to Mr and Mrs O’Sullivan in their recent loss.
