PHILATELIC SOCIETY

MOVE IN ROTORUA In the home of Mr H. H. Perkins, Old Taupo Road, recently stamp enthusiasts discussed the need for a philatelic society in Rotorua and the prospects of forming one were considered to be decidedly good. Rotorua not only has some very keen philatelists, but is fortunate because collectors visit this area very frequently on holiday, and they could be of considerable assistance to local members.

A tentative committee, consisting of Messrs. H. H. Perkins, E. Roe, K. Moore, G. A. Wilkes and Marlow, was formed to make arrangements to call a general meeting of persons interested. , The collection of Mr Perkins is in itself interesting enough around which to form a society, and there are several others in the area which are of more than passing interest.
