WELCOME RAIN
LIGHT FALL YESTERDAY The first fall for five weeks in the Bay of Plenty fell early Sunday morning when .27 inches were recorded in Whakatane. The rain which was hardly sufficient to repair the effects of the hot dry weather, was nevertheless most welcome and had a most refreshing result on parched gardens and pastures.
