ANNUAL SCOUT CAMP
COMMENCING TOMORROW
120 BOYS AT LAKE ROTOMA There will be approximately 120 boys from all Scout Troops in the Bay of Plenty attending the annual County Camp at Lake Rotoma over the coming week. The camp commences tomorrow when it is expected that all units will be mustered at noon in readiness to take over at the popular sandspit. Local boys are asked to parade at the King Street Hall at 10 a.m. in readiness for transport. Ordinai'y gear will be carried including two suits (old and dress), two blankets, swimming trunks, the usual knife, plate, fork and spoon—not forgetting the levy of 15s per head. Most of the country centres will be finding their own transport, and it is expected to have the Opotiki, Waiotahi, Waihi and Tauranga scouts fully accommodated by the early afternoon. The Camp Commandant will be Commissioner C. Lofley, who will be assisted by a number of Scouters from various parts of the district. A full and interesting programme has been mapped out and it is hoped that once again the camp will be a memorable one.
