EXECUTIVE MEETS The monthly meeting of the Executive of the Whakatane branch of the Returned Services Association was held last Friday. Present were Messrs. L. H. Brown (president), Dave Wilson, Geo. Otley, N. Patterson, J. H. Armstrong, C. R. Wilson, L. M. Roach, G. W. Mexted, J. Bryant, A. Hall, L. W. Luxton, J. Stewart, B. Cutler, G. Santon, D. Bluett, Rev. Rangi, and C. A. Head (secretary). Apologies were received from Messrs. T. Mackin and Doug Wilson. Visits. Mr Brown reported that he had visited the hospital during the holidays and had distributed tobacco and cigarettes to Returned Servicemen patients. . > A report was given on the most successful social evening held at Otakiri during December. Advice was received that the next conference was to be held at Hamilton on March 1. Messrs. Brown, C. R. Wilson, Dave Wilson and B. Cutler were appointed delegates. A grant was made to assist a viceman.It was decided to make a further effort to obtain names for the proposed Roll of Honour.
