SWIMMING TUITION

SUMMER SEASON’S ACTIVITIES TRAINING LESSONS COMMENCED The opening of the Whakatane Swimming Club’s training season Swimming Club’s training season met day evening, when a large muster of members and prospective pupils gathered at the High School bath in Goulstone Road. Twenty children joined during the evening and five swimming instructors took all learners in hand.

Excellent progress was made and the programme of systematic tuition was fully appreciated by those taking instruction in the natatorial art. Again the prospects are very bright for the club in the new year, and the three classes now in process of training should do much towards eliminating the percentage of nonswimmers in the community.
