AUSSIE ROUGH RIDERS

VISITING SHOW OPENS APPRECIATIVE AUDIENCE The Wild West Show, provided by Lance Skuthorpe’s visiting Australian rough riders has struck a popular note with the public of Whakatane. Last evening their opening sessions drew crowded and enthusiastic audiences. This is the first real, show of its kind ever to visit Whakatane and the broncho-busting tactics and trick-riding by these daredevils of the saddle never failed to draw the warmest applause. Each of the performers is a picked man who has specialised in his own respective department and the items provided thrill after thrill of an unrivalled equestrian character. The company will repeat their performance on Friday and Saturday evenings and will present a matinee especially dedicated to the children on Saturday afternoon.
