ELDERLY MAN’S DEATH

DISCOVERY AT TANEATUA

VICTIM OF HEART FAILURE

Prolonged absence from his home last Thursday at Taneatua led to the organisation of a search party for the purpose of locating an elderly resident farmer, Mr David Collins Ferguson.

The body of the old man was at length discovered on the banks of the river near his home about 10 p.m. The deceased was a widower about seventy years old, who arrived in the Dominion from his native Scotland in the late seevnties. He was known to have suffered frorp acute heart trouble for some years, a complaint from which it was fairly evident he had died. His wife predeceased him some years ago.

The funeral service took place last Friday at which Rev. W. Rangi officiated.
