HOCKEY DINNER
PLAYERS FOREGATHER
A most enjoyable evening was spent by members of the Taneatua Ladies’ Hockey team and club officials whe,n they were the guests of Mr Tane Wilson at a complimentary dinner recently-. During the evening Mrs N. Semmens, President of the Club, on behalf. of the members, thanked Mr Wilson for his kind gesture and for his help and interest throughout the season. At the conclusion of her address, ,Mrs Semmens presented Mrs Wilson, with a shoulder spray and Mr Wilson with a small gift, in appreciation of their kindness. Miss Nancy Shaw, Club Captain, in making a presentation to Mrs Semmens from the girls of the team spoke of the great help and encouragement she had given them. . Mrs Semmens in return presented Miss Shaw with a shoulder spray and extended the very good .wishes to those present for her future happiness. ■- . :
The very pleasant evening closed with many expressions of appreciation of Mr Wilson’s hospitality.
