On recent mornings, four young rabbits have been V seen grazing furtively on the lawns near the bandstand, always within reach of the shelter of the baths building.
Bay of Plenty Grasslands' A visitor from Hamilton who arrived recently remarked on the 'forward appearance of paddocks re- , cently shut up for hay propping in the near future. “In spite of the general shortage of manures, Bay of Plenty land must be in great heart. The hay crops I have seen are apparently as good as anything there is in the Waikato,” he said.
Rationing of Tea
The rationing controller stated re- . cently that .owing to the decline of overseas production of tea, and domestic consumption of tea in Ceylon and India having increased by about 50 per cent., there is no immediate prospect of the. tea ration in New ' Zealand being increased. The quantity of tea allocated to New Zealand is determined by the Minister of. .
