WEDDING BELLS

• EDWARDS—HUNIA' v - - A very pretty rainbow wedding' of much interest to local residents, t@ok place on November 16, when Palekowhai Maria (Polly) Hunia, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs J. Hunia, Te Teko, was married to Mr Rangikawehea (Boyd) Edwards, second son of Mr and Mrs Taute Edwards, Te Teko. ' \ The Tuteao meetinghouse made an attractive setting for the ceremony, beautifully decorated. by friends of the bride with flowers to tone with the bridesmaids frocks. The Rev. W. Smith officiated and Mrs Smith was organist. Escorted by her uncle,/ Mr Tai Hunia, the bride loked charming in her long trained gown of ivory slipper saftn, featuring a heart-shaped neckline tight-fitting bodice and long sleeves, finished with ~ satin pleating, which also edged the train. Her embroidered tulle 'veil which formed a second train was held in place by a coronet of orange blossom. She carried a bouquet of white roses, Xmas lillies and palest pink carnations and a lucky horse shoe. The bride wore a string of pearls the gift of the bridegroom The bride was attended by four bridesmaids and two flower girls.' The chief bridesmaid was Miss- Rona Ngamutu, of Rotorua, together with Miss Hineranga Hunia, sister of the bride, Miss Winnie McManus and Miss Rangireremoana Wetini, cousins of the bride, wore long' frocks of stiffened marquisette in pastel shades of blue, pink, ‘ lemon and, green made with low-waisted bodices and very full skirts. Their shoulder length veils were held in place with a top-knot of roses. They carried lovely bouquets of roses, carnations and stock:

The flower girls, Katarina Hunia, sister of the bride, and Josephine Pryor werfe dressed alike in forget-me-not blue organdie and . carried silver baskets of flowers.

Mr Bobby Anderson attended the groom as best man, while the groomsmen were Mr Jimmy Ahipene, Mr-Dan Lawson and Mr Hiriweteri Hiraka.

After the ceremony Mr and Mrs Hunia entertained over 300 guests at a dinner in the Tuteao Hall. Mrs Hunia wore a navy ensemble and carried a bouquet of scarlet geberas. The bridal couple were the recipients of many beautiful. and costly wedding presents.. The bride led in a powder blue model suit; with white accessories.
