It was during the month of November, 1936, that the first built-in-New Zealand Ford came off our assembly lines. The establishment of this factory was in accordance with the Ford policy of building “on the spot”, completing a chain of such factories throughout the British Empire. It also enabled Ford to substantially reduce manufacturing costs —savings which were immediately handed on to you.
