NEW CLUB‘FORMED With the object of encouraging the sport of tennis among the young- ! er players, a new club was formed last weekend at a meeting held at-, the Heads. It will be known as the Maunaiti Tennis Club. The following officers were elect-,. ed:— : President; Mr G. Gill. Vice-president: Mrs S. Walker. Secretary: Mr W. Fraser. Joint Treasurers: Mr M. Rangihika and Mrs T. Morgan. Club-Captain: Mr E. Atarau. Vice-captain: Mrs P. Ihaia...., Coaches: Messrs. T. Morgan and M. Atarau. 1 , Tennis Court Warden: Mr G. Hirini. * The third new club to be formed in the district this season, the Maunaiti Tennis Club should give even more impetus to the sport, and with the very Worthwhile object of devoting much of its attention to encouraging younger players should encounter no difficulties with regard to membership. We trust that it will continue in the successful manner in which it has been inaugurated. : ; '/.
