WILLIAM’S CUP WHAKATANE UNITED On Saturday the 7th inst. the Whakatane United Club will defend the Williams Cup for the first time in the 1946-47 season against the Pongakawa Club, Te Puke. The following team is requested to be at the Pavilion at 9.30 a.m.: N. Rigden (Capt), L. Spring, W. Crawford, W. McKenzie, M. Le Pine, J. Moore, F. Cameron, E. Chamberlain, L. McKenzie, C. Reid, G. Parkes Mr Derecourt will act as umpire, and Mr Whitehead as scorer. P. & T. CLUB The following team will play Edgecumbe at the Domain this weekend: Taylor, Hudson, Laloli, Fisher, Carling, Penny, Moore, Howard, Neale, Maxwell, Shergold and Goodall. Players must be at the Pavilion by 9.15 a.m. sharp.
