' WHAKATANE BOWLING CLUB ELECTION DAY PLAY The. fine weather and the half holiday on Election Day gave Whakatane bowlers a further chance to use the greens. Smith, Pearson and Hayward (s) 16 beat E. J. 'Bell, Salmon and W. Howat Sen. (s) 15; Cockerell, R. Gerring, Burgess and Smoljan (s) 24 beat J. Bell, Morpeth, Hellyar and A. King (s) 14; J. Murphy, Campbell, Coates and W. Harris (s) 27 beat C. R. Hollis, B. Thompson, White and Glbnester (s) 14.
