Y.F.C. DANCE

• SUCCESSFUL EVENT Considerable success crowned the efforts of the members of the Taneatua Young Farmers’ Club when they held their first dance in the Taneatua Hall last week. There was a large crowd present to enjoy the excellent rhythm of the Opotiki BBC orchestra. Extras were played by G. Grey. As usual the sisters, wives and mothers gallantly played their part with the result that a delicious supper was provided. Monte Carlos were won by P. Clark and Miss K. Doran and G. Grey and Miss D. McGregor while Mr Taylor and partner won the Statue Waltz.

After supper the president of the Y.F.C., Mr G. Hill, in a neat speech thapked those present for their patronage and also, all those ladies who had so kindly assisted and provided the supper.
