I Lived Amongst Them
Mr R. Boord during the course of his address last Saturday evening had warned his audience that a return of the National Party as Government would mean the deprivation of the workers privileges, when a voice from the centre of the hall remarked “How do you know?” Mr Boord was quick to respond. “Because I’ve lived amongst them most of my life; because I know what they say with one voice and what they say with another. Probably I know them better than almost any other member of the Labour Party.” (Applause). r-
