DIFFICULT WEATHER EXPERIENCED

Although occasional showers upset the continuity of play to a certain extent, all matches scheduled to take place in the first round of the Collin’s Shield competition, under the auspices of the Whakatane Cricket Association, were played during the weekend. Following are detailed results:—
