PLUNKET SOCIETY

MONTHLY MEETING

The monthly meeting of the Whakatane branch of the Plunket Society was held in the rooms recently. Present were Mesclames Cairns (chair), R. Morpeth, Jessop, Dainton, Patterson, O’Rourke, KingsleySmith, Shapley, Spring. Roach. Apologies were received from Mesdames Debreceny, Zinsli and Knights. The Nurse’s report for October was received. The General Conference it was intimated was to be held in Wellington this month and although the local branch was not sending a delegate from Whakatane it had arranged to be represented and to exercise a vote on the remits affecting the branch. Arrangements were made for the house to house collection and street appeal on the 22nd November. Extra collectors were readily forthcoming to assist the committee with the collection. It was intimated that the next monthly meeting would take place on December 2.
