PERSONAL
Following an intensive tour in the South Island Mr W. Sullivan M.P., returned to Whakatane last' Saturday. He will continue his electoral campaign in this territory fulfilling his schedule as advertised. Mr Sullivan who broadcast his address at Timaru last Monday evening met with remarkable enthusiasm wherever he went. Political meetings were well attended at all centres.
Bruce Mundy, a pupil of the Whakatane District High School, has been selected as the candidate from the Auckland Province, to compete in the final selection against the three other candidates from other provinces in New Zealand, for the Lincoln College Old Students’ Scholarship, available to members of Young Farmers’ Clubs in both islands. The scholarship, which has a value of £55, is tenable for one
year at Lincoln College, in any of the following courses: (a) The Col-' lege Diploma Course; (b) the intensive eight months course: (c) the Rural Valuation and Farm Management course.
