NEWS PHOTOGRAPHY

KENT UNIVERSITY

A Hall of Fam'e for news photography will be established at Kent State University, the founder ten years ago of a short course for news photographers, George A. Bowman, President of the University, has announced, according to an American newspaper.

Each year .the most outstanding published news picture will be hung in the Hall and its photographer will receive from the University a special citation. ' Along with a chemically treated blow-up of the outstanding picture, a photograph” and biographical sketch of the photographer will be placed in the Hall of Fame. In announced establishment of the gallery, Mr Bowman commented: “Kent State University is honoured to create a lasting tribute to the great press photographers who day by day so effectively record the history of our time. Besides being a great memorial to the men whose pictures are selected the Hall will be an outstanding addition to this State university.”
