HAMILTON SHOOT

LOCAL SPORTSMAN'S SUCCESS

A young local sportsman, Mi Bill Rivett, came home from the recent Hamilton Clay Bird Shooting Club events with £4O of the prize money, no mean feat considering that 100 competitors, the best from all parts of the North Island took part. / : ■ The event is described as the biggest shoot so far held, in New Zealand, and the prize money .was on the same footing. Strong westerly winds and frequent showers made conditions difficult. The first division consisted of a shoot of 20 birds with stake money of £93 15s. Bill Rivett and a competitor from Thames were the only two to shoot the possible, and they divided first and second money.

Our warmest congratulations are extended.
