ARGUMENTUM AD. HOMINEN

Brother Bradshaw’s had his say, Maybe for love, (we hope so eh!) His homily produced in verse, Could not have drawn a picture worse Of Labour’s ten year administration, That threatens to bankrupt the nation, Goliath like this Tory giant, Is viturperative and defiant; Like David I forsake my crook, And wend my way down to brook, May be some smoothe stone to find, That will sink into the voters’ mind, Our Goliath has no word to say, About the slump, the meagre pay That farmers and townies alike were getting! When the old Tory hen on the world was sitting, Now the Nationalists have changed their name! And say they will carry on with the same Benefits, that Labour has so hardly won, In the face of the Opposition’s gun, While their real aim is Tooley St., Where the farmers again will be the meat Of Cosmopolitan profiteers Who had the whole world by the ears. - The champions of the Tory creed, Will never be a friend in need; While the Haves are the minority, The Havenots will be the majority, Let Bradshaw ding dong as he will, Private enterprise banks to fill, If you’re rich certainly go his way, If not, well on election day, Remember that to all really in need, Labour has been a friend indeed. H. SERGANT.
