LADIES’ GOLF CLUB

ANNUAL MEETING

The annual general meeting of theWhakatane Ladies’ Golf Club was held at the Borough Council Chambers last Wednesday. Mrs Otley read - a statement of receipts and expenditure. .

The resignations of Mrs and Mrs Winstone who did not seek, re-election was accepted with regret.

Officers for the ensuing year werer

elected as follows: President: Mrs Sloane. Vice-president: Mrs Otley. Captain: Mrs Symmans. Vice-captain: Mrs Fbgerty' Secretary: Miss Carter. Assistant Secretary: Mrs Combes. Committee: Mrs Winstone, Miss. Black, Mrs Stone, Miss Hyland, MissRobins and Miss Otley.

After a general discussion regarding the annual tournament, it'wass.. ; decided to alter the dates from.. King’s Birthday weekend to tjie last , b week in September viz., 23rd, 24th.. an 25th September, 1947. It was decided too, that the Dajr Book be left open for scores until the end of December. Votes of thanks to the President, to the Captain, to the outgoing com- >; mittee and to the Beacon were carried unanimously at the conclusion, of the meeting.
