SHOULD BE KICKED OUT

COMMUNISTS & DISLOYALISTS

MR GOOSMAN’S STRONG VIEWS

Mr W. S. Goosman, M.P., and National Party candidate for the newly constituted Piako electorate was scathing in his remarks last evening when he mentioned the presence of Communists and disloyalists in this country He was condemning the Socialistic trend of the Labour Party and speaking to a crowd of some 200 in the Grand Theatre.

“I am not speaking of the average person who calls himself a Communist in New Zealand,” he said. I do not think they know what they really profess in that name. They are not disloyalists. But unfortunately there are some who are genuine Communists and though they are not many they are nevertheless the type who openly avow that they owe allegiance to Moscow. “These people,” said Mr Goosman, ought to be asked t© get out. If they don’t' get out they ought to be kicked out.”

As for Mr Boswell, said Mr Goosman, if I had my way I would bring him back from Russia without any delay and give him a job school teaching which I understand he’s not bad at.
