Galatea Pound

At the last meeting of the Whakatane County Council, a letter from the Galatea Settlers' Association, advised that settlers were very dissatisfied with the present situation in regard to a legal pound at. Galatea, and considered that something should be done about it. The Council's reply was to the effect that it intended to appoint an assistant ranger for Galatea, and that this should remedy the position.
