Rowing Opening

The official opening of the Whakatane Rowing Club which takes place on November 2 will be marked by an 'afternoon of entertainment planned particularly to provide amusement for the kiddies. We understand that children’s races, ice cream and soft drinks, and a lolly scramble will take pride of place, whilst interspersed throughout the programme will be rowing races on the river. The afternoon has been well-planned, and should be well worth attending.
