Job for the Police

An important task will be undertaken by the eleventh annual conference of the New Zealand Police Association, which began in Wellington on October 1. This will be a complete overhaul by delegates of all Police Force Acts and Regulations with a view to their consolidation. This is being; done in co-opera-tion with the Police Department. Delegates from all 15 police districts will be present at the conference. As Minister in Charge of police, the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. P. Fraser, will open the conference. The Minister of Finance, the Rt. Hon. W. Nash, has been invited to attend and .the Commissionr er of Police, Mr J. Cummings, will give an address.
