WEDDING BELLS

DAWSON—CAMPBELL ' The Methodist Church, Whakatane, was the scene of a very pretty wedding recently, when .Hilda Frances, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs A. A. Campbell, of Otara, Opotiki, was wedded to Allan Sydney, third son of Mr and Mrs A. Dawson, of Gonville, Wanganui. The Rev. A. F. Attwood officiated and Miss G. Kenyon presided at the organ; During the service Mrs F. Darvill rendered the solo “Because.” The bride who entered the Church on the arm of her father, wore a lovely trained frock of white lace over' satin, made with cowl neckline and narrow lace pleating, bishop sleeves and full skirt. Her long tulleveil was held in place with a coronet of orange blossom and pearls and she carried a shower bouquet of white flowers.

She was . attended by her eldest sister, Constance, and Miss Hazel Thomassen, of Ohope, who were attractively frocked in pink , and blue organdie, with coronets to match. Toning flowers comprised their bouquets and head dress: The bride’s youngest sister, Phyllis, made a very dainty flower girl frocked in lemon organdie fashioned •on similar lines to those of the bridesmaids. She carried a basket of beautiful spring flowers. The groom was supported by his brother, Mr Albert Dawson as best man and his cousin, Mr Dawson Tocker as groomsman. •

After the ceremony a reception was held at the Caledonion Hall. Mrs Campbell assisted by Mrs Dawson, received the guests, Mrs Campbell wearing a smart navy frock and hat with deep , * cream gloves, handbag and corsage. Mrs Dawson chose an attractive navy ensemble with matching accessories, per corsage was of cyclamen shades. The couple left later by car for their honeymoon, the. bride travelling in a periwinkle blue suit and hat with black accessories.'
