Praise For Band
• Warm praise of the progress of the Whakatane Citizens was contained in a letter despatched by the Borough Council to the conductor, Mr W. Jarrett. The letter congratulated the band on the performance of its members at the Hamilton contest, and complimented the conductor on his enthusiasm. It also added that the citizens were proud of the band and wished it further success.
