WHAKATANE LADIES’ CLUB Next weekend a team of ladies from the Tauranga Club will visit the Whakatane links to play. an in-ter-club match. The team to play, will be selected from Mrs Berg, Mrs Boon, Miss Black, Mrs Symmans, Mrs Combes, Miss Carter, Mrs Dawson, Mrs Dewar, Mrs Foger.ty, Miss Nankivell, Mrs Otley, Mrs Winstone, Miss Hyland, Mrs Breckon, Mrs Donaldson, Mrs Fraser, Mrs Jarrett, Miss Otley, Mrs McCowan, Mrs Pearse, Miss Righton, Mrs Suckling, Mrs Rangi, Miss Armstrong, Miss Campbell, Miss Hobson, Mrs Hay, Miss McLeod, Miss Suckling, Mrs Stone, Miss Wilson, Mrs Fennell and Miss Hancock.

Any player unable to play on Sunday 13th instant must inform the secretary as soon as possible. This week, Wednesday 9th . and 12th instant a Stableford Bogey competition will be played. The draw will be:—Mrs Dawson and Miss Black; Mrs Sloane and Mrs Semmens; Mrs Berg and Mrs Winstone; Mrs Otley and Miss Hyland; Mrs Combes and Mrs Dewar; Mrs Fogerty and Mrs Suckling; Mrs Spence and Miss Armstrong; Mrs Rangi and Mrs Fennell; Mrs Breckon and Mrs McCowan; Mrs Boon and Mrs Donaldson; Mrs Fraser and Miss Otley; Miss Righton and Mrs Ker; Mrs Wilson another.

Saturday’s draw: Mrs Jarrett and Miss Carter; Miss Nankivell and Miss Otley; Mrs Stone and Mrs Breckon; Mrs Pearse and Mrs Winstone; Miss Campbell and Miss Suckling; Miss Wilson and Miss Armstrong; Mrs Hay and Mrs Ker; Miss Warren and Miss McLeod; Miss Le Lievre and Miss Hobson; Miss Gartshore and Miss Hancock.

Championships: A: The finalists, Mrs Symmans and Miss Black will play on Thursday 10th instant. Mrs Sloane will be umpire. B: Mrs Otley beat Mrs Dawson; Mrs Suckling beat Mrs Winstone. Mrs Suckling and Mrs Otley will play the finals on Thursday 10th instant and Mrs Combes will be umgire.

C: Miss Suckling and Miss Campbell will play the finals on Saturday morning and Mrs Fraser will be umpire.

The A champs will be played over 36 holes, the B over 27 holes and the C 18 holes.

The finalists in the Championship Flight are Mrs Fraser and Miss Otley who will play on Wednesday next. ;
