AWAKERI BRANCH SPRING FLOWER DISPLAY „ An enjoyable afternoon was spent in the Awakeri Hall on September 17 when members of the local branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union and visitors met to enjoy a display of spring flowers. There were masses of Iceland Poppies, daffodils, anemones and violets attractively displayed as well as many other spring blossoms. A competition for a decorated bowl was won by Mrs Fabish, while Mrs D. MacDonald’s was the prize winning vase.
