Traffic and Street Signs
At the last meeting of the Whakatane Borough Council, the Clerk reported- that the Traffic Inspector had intimated that the silent policemen (1) in front of Messrs. Mussett and Littlejohn’s premises; (2) at the Whakatane Hotel intersection; (3) at the corner of McAlister Street and Domain Road, were contrary to the traffic regulations and should be removed. It was resolved that the removal be approved and that a white circle be painted on the road surface in the two positions in the Strand.
