SPRING STATION CATTLE FAIR The New Zealand'Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. Ltd., report having held their Spring Station Cattle Fair at Whakatane on August 29. 1900 head were offered, and prices, particularly for fat stock, were well in accordance With those prevailing in other districts.

Stock came forward in first class condition and bidding was spirited from a strong representative attendance of buyers from outside districts. Owing to the wet weather just experienced, female and jersey stock did not meet with a ready demand. Prices realised were as under:— Fat bullocks £ll 15s to ‘£lß 15s; fat cows £ll to £ls 15s; 3-year bullocks £lO to £l2 10s; in-calf cows £6 to £7 ss; 2-year heifers £5 10s to £7 10s; 2-year steers £7 10s to £8 15s.
