SUCCESSFUL INGLESIDE

POPULAR OLD-TIME PROGRAMME A popular old-time programme was featured at the Ingleside dance which took place in the Caledonian Hall under the auspices of that Society last Saturday evening. A crowd of more sizeable proportions even than attended the one before, was present, and entered into the spirit of the occasion in a manner which guaranteed the success of the function from the first dance.

The Premier Band supplied good music for the occasion, whilst Chief Simons made a popular and capable Master of Ceremonies. . _ - The usual ceremony of the piping in of the Chief was conducted, and was followed by the Grand March. Among the most enjoyable dances were the Lancers, which were performed with unmistakeable enthusiasm.

During the evening, Pipe Solos were rendered by Pipers Don McKenzie and Barry Thomas, and the applause which greeted their really worthwhile efforts was unstinted, Barbara and Margaret Pithy also delighted those assembled with the Highland Fling. At an appropriate interval, a tasty supper was served. Dancing concluded at midnight with the National Anthem.
