PARENT-TEACHER ASSN.

CARD EVENINGS CONTINUE Last Wednesday was the final of the card evenings run so successfully under the auspices of the Whakatane Parent-Teacher Association, and it was unanimously decided to run a further series. The first of the new evenings will commence on Wednesday, September 11, and will be identical with the one just concluded (8 evenings with an aggregate of 7).

The prize winners last Wednesday evening were Mrs Hanright and Mr Atkinson (500) and Mr Sexton and Miss Lawes (Bridge). Aggregate prizes were won by Mr Shaw and Mrs Rivett (500) and by Mr McCallion and Mrs Compton (Bi'idge).
