THE AERO CLUB
HUNDREDTH MEMBER ENROLLED •’ * TRAINING TO COMMENCE SOON Yesterday the secretary of the Bay of Plenty Aero Club (Mr Hamilton Morgan) announced that the club had enrolled its hundredth member who was Mr R. .R. Butler of Awakeri. The keenest interest is still being shown in the progress of the club and at a recent conference between Tauranga, Opotiki and local interests it was decided to embark upon a co-operative policy •throughout the Bay of Plenty. The Tauranga Club now possesses two machines, and these, under the new arrangement will be made available to the Whakatane Club members during the week or at fortnightly intervals. Arrangements have been completed for using Mr Les Luxton’s paddock at Awakeri as a landing field, and it is hoped to make a start in giving initial lessons from that point in a fortnight’s time.
