SCHOOL FOOTBALL

CHALLENGE CUP PRESENTED (From our own correspondent) Recently Messrs. Black Bros., of Nukuhou North, presented a football challenge cup, for competition between Waimana, Nukuhou North and Tana Tana Schools. After the final football match for this season, last Friday afternoon, between Nukuhou North and Waimana the former were the victors. Mr Vant, headmaster, thanked the donors for the cup and congratulated his pupils on their win stating he would like to see the other schools successful at a future date in winning the cup. Mr N. Eagle, on behalf of the Waimana School Committee, also thanked the donors, and congratulated the winners for this. year. He mentioned that it was good for school children to visit one another for all games of sport. Both speakers extended thanks to the ladies who had provided the afternoon tea.
