PLUNKET INTERESTS

ANNUAL MEETING NEXT WEEK It is necessary to remind the general public from time to time of the magnificent service rendered the community by the Plunket Society. In Whakatane we cannot think of anything more vital than the activities of an organisation pledged to the all-important work of Saving the Babies. Next Wednesday the Annual General Meeting of the Whakatane Branch takes place. It is the one occasion when the mothers of infants who have drawn so much from the Plunket Service in the past can show their appreciation by attending. In the past the burden has been carried on all' too long by the same band of willing workers. They in their turn are still willing to carry on but they need the practical support of the community in doing so. It is therefore the duty of alb who can possibly do so, to attend the meeting which takes place in the King Street Hall at 2.30 p.m.
